Work Study: Career Connections
Course Description
This course is designed for ACCE seniors who wish to
receive first hand experience at a possible career choice. Students enrolled in
Career Connections are in good academic standing as 12th graders and
are on pace to graduate, these same students have demonstrated strong
leadership skills, positive attitudes and strong desires to develop their
workforce skills. These students will attend ACCE in the mornings to meet their
English IV, World History, and Business/Entrepreneurship courses. In the
afternoon students will participate in a minimum of 10 hours of paid work
experience. In addition to the work completed at their work sites, students are
expected to maintain journals, develop multiple presentations (poster,
newsletter, and power point), analyze articles, maintain evaluations from
supervisor, and complete weekly reflection assignments.

students will strengthen their:

· Ability to develop reports and make
presentations that show attention to detail, develop ideas, and demonstrate
