What is an example of Service Learning?
When students remove trash from the surrounding neighborhood they:
1) analyze what they found,
2) share the results and offer suggestions for the neighborhood to reduce pollution, and
3) reflect on their experience

Why Service Learning?
Participating in Service Learning has been shown to:
1) improve academic grades,
2) increase attendance in school, and
3) develop personal and social responsibility
How many hours do I need?
The Maryland State Requirement for Service Learning Hours is 75 hours.
The ACCE Graduation Requirement for Service Learning Hours is is 100 hours.
