Academy for College and Career Exploration

Here is a link to the CollegeBound newsletter. In addition to the newsletter, below are a few great things that we have been able to accomplish here at The Academy for College and Career Exploration. I am pleased to share this good news with you!

Over the last 30 days we have had three major events!

Ö        The College Extravaganza on October 24, 2008. This was an opportunity for 47 seniors to jump start the college application process. Students worked diligently on starting their college applications and were able to receive one on one help. Special thanks to Ms. Zahrt, Ms. Harper, Ms. Goodlow, Mr. Fuerst and Mr. Jones for your support and assistance.

Ö        The Fall College Fair on October 30 2008. The College Fair was a great success, thanks to the collaborative efforts of the ACCE Academy team and CollegeBound Staff. Fifty four seniors attended the fair with resumes, applications and personal statements in hand. It was a great day in college access. Special thanks to all of the college representatives that worked with and will continue to work with our seniors!

Ö        The College Application Drive on November 20, 2008. This event was a smashing success. Twenty three seniors attended this event prepared and ready to polish and complete their college application packages. The packages included personal statements with pictures, resumes, essay, business cards, thank you letters and brochures. Kudos to our students for a smooth event!
